Why Ambassadors Matter
- Connect parish life to the Order’s impact throughout North America
- Provide year-round visibility for the Order
- Provide any news or feedback to the Order
- Build fellowship across generations
- Provide assistance and suggestions to the Diocese Chairpersons and Ambassadors in the recruitment and retention of members of The Order
A Good Ambassador is:
- Prayerful, welcoming, and reliable
- Up to date with their pledges
- Organized and able to coordinate activities
- Respectful and upholds the order values
- Inclusive of all the members of their local chapter
Key Responsibilities
- Forward communications of the Order
- Communicate updates regarding Parish membership to the
Order Administrator - Attend Order Ambassador meetings and provide suggestions
- Share parish activity and/or updates
- Encourage membership renewals privately and respectfully
Suggested Tasks for Ambassadors
- Promote the Order during the month of December (Epistle readings, tray collections, coffee hour or luncheon)
- Host a Town Hall
- Create an Order in Action Event
- Social, spiritual and/or humanitarian
- Support inductions
- Distribute applications and materials
